Why does the Lake Braddock Crew Team need to fundraise?

Crew is a “club” sport in Virginia which means that although it is a Lake Braddock High School Varsity sport, the program recieves no financial support from the school, Fairfax County Public Schools or the local government. The team needs to raise $60,000 (or $600 per athelete) to maintain the operations of the team.

Fundraising is a vital part of The Lake Braddock Crew team, generating a third of our annual income. Each dollar raised pays for training, programing, insurance, coaching staff, equipment, maintenance, safety and support of these dedicated atheltes.
